Full Job Description
This Job is open to both UK based and international applicants. Able Trust is happy to sponsor
eligible and appropriately qualified international applicants for this role on the Skilled Worker
visa.
1. To provide personalised care support to our service users and work in collaboration with the
care team.
2. Collaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide individual
centred care.
3. To take charge of a shift, in the absence of a team member.
4. To teach, and lead by example, new and inexperienced staff members in all aspects of their
work.
5. To assist the manager when needed.
6. To work in accordance with organisation policies and procedures.
7. To promote and support service user’s independency.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1 Assisting service user with bathing, grooming, and getting dressed
2 Preparing and serving nutritious meals at the appropriate time
3 Administering oral and topical medication as needed and maintaining the necessary records
4 Handling household and domestic tasks such as grocery shopping and laundry
5 Ensure the healthcare needs of the service users are met by liaising with GP's, District Nurses,
Chiropodists etc
6 To be able to communicate effectively between Managers and care staff, both written and
verbally.
7 Promote mental and physical activities for service users through the key worker system: by
talking to them and sharing with them activities such as reading, writing, hobbies, and
recreations.
8 Making recommendations to family members and healthcare personnel on the plan of care
9 Help with the completion of Plans of Care for service users, new service users and help
with service user’s reviews.
10 To participate in staff meetings, staff training, supervision, appraisal and development
activities.
11 Carry out supervision and induction of designated staff as required.
12 Be aware of the health and safety of service users.
13 To carry out service evaluation and ensure high standards of care are achieved.
To support mental health and wellbeing of the care team.
